Intelligrated Announces Second Headquarters Expansion In Two Years
Intelligrated, a provider of warehouse automation systems, plans to expand its headquarters in Mason for the second time in two years. The $10.2 million project will add 83,000 square feet and 238 new jobs, mostly in engineering.
"We have great momentum right now and are moving quickly to leverage our market position for rapid growth. The city of Mason has been an outstanding partner and JobsOhio has consistently provided us with the resources and the right operating environment to remain the leader in automated material handling solutions," Intelligrated CEO Chris Cole said in a news statement announcing the expansion.
Intelligrated has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years. Sales increased from $378 million in 2010 to $583 million in 2013. The company attributes this growth to the increase in online shopping and e-commerce. Retailers are always looking for ways to cut costs and modernize their distribution centers, and Intelligrated provides the automated systems to help them accomplish that.
